Business/Workforce

The Scott County Partnership works in partnership with the Scott County Economic Development Corporation and the Mid-America Science Park to provide a variety of employment and training services to Scott County residents for the purpose of enhancing their knowledge and skills to ensure maximum employability, self- sufficiency and a higher quality of life.

Many of the programs originally begun through the Partnership and at the LifeLong Learning Center have moved to the more up-to-date technological facility of the Mid-America Science Park. We continue to work together on workforce issues through the Workforce Development Committee and by partnering on various projects together.

The Adult Basic Education & High School Equivalency program, once a project through the Department of Education is now funded and facilitated through the Department of Workforce Development. The Scott County Economic Development Corporation oversees this program for the Workforce Region X of which Scott County is apart. The Adult Basic Education & High School Equivalency Program is currently located at the LifeLong Learning Center.
