The Scott County Partnership is pleased to be providing substance abuse prevention programming thanks to 3 grants from the Indiana Department of Mental Health and Addictions. Thanks to these grants, we are able to provide an array of prevention programs to Scott County, including the following:
FAMILY BASED PREVENTION GRANT
- Guiding Good Choices for those that parent 9-14 year olds (Next class begins November 5th, call for more information).
- Children in the Middle for families going through divorce.
CTC/IMPLEMENTATION PREVENTION GRANT
- LifeSkills now at Austin Elementary as well as Scott County School District 2!
- Parents who Host, Lose the Most campaign
- Getting Ahead classes for those interested in working their way out of moving out of poverty.
- All Stars programming will now be held at Austin Learning Center’s 21st Century Community Learning Center!
- Feeling Good Scott County Magazine
- QPR suicide prevention training
PARTNERSHIPS FOR SUCCESS II
Or most recent grant, the Partnerships for Success II prevention grant, provides us the opportunity to address prescription drug misuse and abuse in Scott County.
