Summer Youth Feeding Program

The Summer Youth Feeding Program is a program that helps fill the void of school lunches during the summer months. Many children in Scott County are on free and reduced lunch at  school. During the summer months, families struggle to provide that extra meal that would normally be covered by the school. The Scott County Partnership partners with Gleaners Food Bank of America in order to provide free lunches during the summer.

SFSP is for any child in the county up to age 18 and is 100% free! The program runs Monday – Friday (except on July 4). There are several sites around the county where children can receive their meal. Locations and times vary year to year, but are usually in areas populated with housing or within walking distance of children.

This program cannot happen without many volunteers! If you or anyone you know would like to volunteer, please contact us at 812-752-7365.
