Scott County Partnership Expresses Appreciation for Teachers and Staff

ADMINNews

“Thank you for being here for our kids! We appreciate all that you do,” is the message that the Scott County Partnership shared with teachers and staff at Scott County schools where they provide drug and alcohol prevention education programs. The 350 appreciation gift bags distributed October 21st, contained snacks, pens, sanitizer, and information about other programs provided by the Partnership.

“This is just one way for us to show how thankful we are to the people who are caring for, educating, and inspiring our youth to make good choices,”says LeAnn Walker, Prevention Resource Coordinator, “Through this consistent focus we have seen a decline in usage of harmful substances by youth in our community.”

The Scott County Partnership collaborates with community partners to provide other youth initiatives like the Scott County Attendance Review Board to help improve school attendance, the summer feeding program, goal setting and career preparation, EMPOWER Youth Coalition, Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative, and the Scott County Community Clearinghouse.
